  1. It’s a bit misleading as some of those bottom ten majors assume a Master’s degree before the person is ready for professional employment. I would say that’s certainly true of the bottom five. People going in to the major should know that. Social work, for example, first requires an MSW and then state licensing before you can practice.

    Of course, MSWs still won’t make much compared to any Master’s degree with the word “engineering” in it…
